Colourpop just keeps hitting us with new products this month, and we couldn’t be happier. On the heels of the launch of the company’s new brow products, it’s been revealed that on March 24 the brand will debut a new set of products created in collaboration with actress (and Taylor Swift bestie) Jaime King.

The Alchemy Jaime King x Colourpop collaboration is unique for the brand because, on top of the other gorgeous color cosmetics in the launch, Colourpop will be releasing its very first set of Sculpting Stix, one for highlighting, and one for contouring (check them out at the bottom right of King’s Instagram post):

At $5 each, the sticks mark a departure from Colourpop’s usual pot packaging and the springy, slightly wet formulas that just beg to be applied with your fingers. While the company’s classic highlighters and bronzers work well for a glossy and intense look, these new Sculpting Stix seem likely to offer more subtle contouring and highlighting, not to mention how ideal they’ll be for travel and on-the-go application. The rest of King’s collection includes two lip pencils, two lipsticks, two highlighters in pots, one blush, and three eye shadows.

In the caption on one of her Instagram posts, King elaborates on the work she put into creating the collection with Colourpop, crediting the many makeup artists she admires, like Pat McGrath, Mary Greenwall, and the late Kevin Aucoin, as her inspiration. “They are my everything, they are the true painters, they are the ones who diligently taught me in rushed spaces behind cameras hurdles around crowds in fashion shows & shoots all over the world,” writes King. She even dedicates certain items in the collection to specific artists. “I remember Mary using black khol liner, and she mixed it with eight hour cream to give it this slick look—and I owe the result of Knight [eyeshadow] to her because I wanted a product that she didn’t have then. […] Pat, Alchemy is all for you and you will know why when you try it and layer it with Knight and on its own or on top of any product. Kevin, we miss you, the contour stick is made in your memory.” We love how King meticulously curated each item. You can try out the entire collection for a cool $30 at the end of this month.
